As a component of the JSF EAM Project, the JL2 Team worked with the UK MoD JSF Lightning Team to develop a collaborative Enterprise Architecture model and supporting Simulation, Validation and Verification capabilities to jointly verify operational scenarios at the UK Maritime Integration Support Centre (MISC) in Portsmouth, UK.
Various operational scenarios were trialled in a simulated environment with the participation of key stakeholders to ensure that operational concepts, draft business processes and standard operating procedures were mature enough for roll out to SQNs in the UK and Australia. As trials progressed full simulations were carried out across the whole capability from planning to operations, with maintainers, Pilots, Boat drivers, suppliers and other support logistic functions taking part. Joint Operational Commanders also took part for familiarisation and training in readiness for the operational systems.
